Hi again.. Sorry, just 2 more questions. 1. Does anyone have schematic handy
for the curtis controller family mentioned above ? 2. Is the open source ReVolt
controller schematic available ? I tried to download it for several years and
was never able to. Does anyone havit ?
Thanks

Hi Thanks for your replies.. Sorry for replying so late (I typed a message but
never hit the sent button). For the power section of the board, I am using
MOSFET IPF117, do I need the power diodes as well ? I programmed the Arduino to
generate a pwm on pin 5 and 2 with a non overlap region. It seems to be working
but constantly battling the UCC27714 (gate driver). I attached the
schematic.However, I removed R18 and R19, connected the Arduino pins 5 and 2
directly to the terminals of R18 and R19 that are connected to HI and LI on the
UCC. I bypassed the protection circuit since it is useless :). As per my
reading online (will dig up the site), it mentioned that it is more efficient
to pulse the bottom MOSFETs instead of using diodes.
The problem is always with the gate driver, it some times does not work and
gives a sawtooth signal 800mV height at the HO pin. Maybe the Diode D3 is bad ?

Does the circuit look ok ? Any feedback is helpful and appreciated.I am
visually impaired, need some cheap help to layout and draw schematic, is there
anyone or anyplace that offers cheap help?
Thanks
Basem.

Almost exactly like a Curtis 1221/1231 family controller. It's apparent
that he saw the insides of a Curtis, and copied it. That's not a bad
thing; the Curtis controllers were pretty successful. It's always best
to learn from others.

There are more examples of simple controllers here:
