Because of this combined with many other factors, such as the inefficiency of using electricity to split water into hydrogen and oxygen(electrolysis), I believe that hydrogen does not have a future in using it to power vehicles. Even for use in long-haul trucks, there are still many obstacles to overcome, such as refueling infrastructure. I am comfortable saying that any hydrogen fuel cell start up is certain to fail with the current technology and fueling infrastructure available.
