Willie, good for you. You're a patient fellow, taking whacks at mathematical illiteracy.
Good luck. I fear that you're shouting into the void, AKA an internet chock full of misinformation and outright lies. You're on the right track, though. First you have to correct the bizarre notion that their car audio systems are using a kilowatt. That's off by a couple of orders of magnitude. If the continuous power from their car audio systems were even 100 watts, they'd be deaf. Also, the kilowatt rating of their car audio systems is laughable. The suits who advertise that overpriced garbage are even less honest than battery salesmen. Just as with EV power vs energy, there's almost universal confusion among audio nuts between rated amplifier power and actual continuous average operating power. It's fundamental ignorance, reinforced by the manufactured ignorance that advertising generates. Twenty watts of *continuous* power will fill a good-sized auditorium with ample sound quite nicely. You usually want plenty of extra amplifier *rated* power to handle peaks without gross distortion. The same is true in any setting, from a small car to a big medai room. But I've personally used an amp capable of a measured 20 watts RMS (manufacturer rated at 35!) in a smallish auditorium with quite acceptable results. A vehicle is a fraction of the volume of an auditorium, though you do have to overcome road noise. But I'd be surprised if the actual continuous output (note: NOT rated amplifier available power) of most car audio systems ever exceeded a dozen watts. In fact I've used boom boxes successfully in radio-less cars, and those typically have amplifiers capable of between a few hundred milliwatts and a couple of watts.
