One of my EVs was a surplus postal EV (a 1980 ComutaVan). It served as my daily driver for 7 years. My dad had a fit, though. He worked for the Post Office, and was a union steward. The union was adamantly opposed to EVs, preferring to get generous reimbursements for using their own cars.
