Lawrence,
I do not know if the TUE still participates. I remember that the solar
races were often also a friendly competition between the 3 Technical
Universities in The Netherlands: my alma mater TUD (Delft), TUE (Eindhoven,
which I visited only a few times despite working for Philips in that city
for 6 years) and TU Twente which I visited often to volunteer at the WOT
(Working group for Development Technology) which advised free of charge
about the use of renewable energy, mostly for developing nations.
This EV is clearly not designed for any solar application, but to carry
"right to repair" in a different direction: "Built to be repairable".
Cor.
