Dan,
I converted my '93 Escort Electricar from lead to lithium, and you have many
steps ahead of you. 1. Know the mfgr and model and chemistry of the cells.2.
Assume that they will explode if punctured or opened, they are factory sealed
with electrolyte.3. If rectangular, the largest face must be restrained to
withstand 10 psi.4. You need a BMS battery management system, I chose Orion,
but others may be cheaper.5. You need battery heaters if you want to recharge
below 32F.6. The BMS must be able to shut down the charger and motor.7.
Connections, rollover resistance, fuel gauge, safety disconnect etc.

Hi all, it's been a long time since posted and am hoping someone can help
me. I am trying to connect the lithium Ion batteries in my EV and don't
know how to do it. I am used to old style lead acid batteries. How do you
connect the 24 cells of my pack and what parts are needed to do that? Also
my cells were shipped dry. What do I used to fill the cells? Thanks in
advance tor your help. Dan Eyk
