According to their website, the "target price" is $40k.  I'm afraid that that 
puts it mostly in "rich techbro toy" territory.

Aptera is a cool concept.  The efficiency is appealing, but then so is an e-
bike's, at about 1/20 the price.

If they could build a similar EV that would slot in between high-end e-bikes 
and cheap 4-wheel EVs in both utility and price, they'd have something. But 
I'm thinking more like $10-12k than $40k.  And at this point that's more 
likely to come from China than from the US.

All that said, I wish Aptera the best.  I hope that this time they'll finally 
put some real-world tailbones in their real-world seats.
