Hello all,
Here[1] is the final version of the logo and logo+city
version (please note the more international feel to the globe). I
think
it rocks but please let me know what you all think?
It does rock :)
Due to time constraints we need to move on using this logo worldwide
(yesterday) and get it onto our advertising materials.
Sure, I'll launch some printings here.
Thanks,
Tim

Hi Tim!
Please find attached a .zip of several shirt design files. I'm
including lots of file types, in the hope that the more formats I
shared, the more likely it will be that folks will be able to
customize the design as needed with their city names. There are the
original .ai files, .psds, a high-res .tif of the city-less design,
and a sample .gif of how one would ideally add their city name to the
customizable one. I hope it's all helpful and that it doesn't totally
clog up your inbox.
Please let me know if you need anything else!

Hi Meghan,
No don't worry about Virginia's comment -
unfortunately she
seems to
quite readily pipe up with negative comments like
this but
isn't always
as forthcoming with constructive comments. Please
proceed as
per our
previous arrangement with the US & EU continents
showing. Our
main
priority now is to get the logo done and out
there :)
Thanks again!

In regards to that last question, it's a bit
beyond me for
an unpaid
contest project, sadly. I'm not an illustrator,
and to
purchase the
vectors I'm using to create the globe image is a
bit pricey.
Perhaps
this design is simply too much of a mine-field...
If you
give me a few
days I could try and come up with something a bit
less
controversial
-- something that doesn't spotlight any particular
part of
the globe?
Let me know.

Hi,
World Plone day I thought means the
entire world.
So I don't
think
only including Europe and America is
appropriate,
in fact
that is
exclusive. This negates the objective of
the
event, which is
to expand
the use of Plone globally.
Well we can't put every country on there
due to the
limited
resources
that Meghan (graphic designer has). If
you're
willing to help
out with
producing the graphics by all means modify
the
graphic for
each country
but my meaning in saying us + eu is that
this is
generally
what you see
on a 'zoomed out' globe. I'm happy to have
africa,
oz, etc on
there too
but once again it'll depend on whether
Meghan can do
this for
us?

Hello,
Personally I agree to show europe and
americas
this time.
It'd be better that other continents
take turns in
the
future events.
Thanks for those who make contributes.

Only problem is which?
Or can we just encompass most of
the globe
by having
europe
and
the americas showing?
What does everyone think?
