main repo is in launchpad bzr, the github one is not automatically
synchronized

so, preferred way of contributing is open ticket in launchpad,
and code can be then as launchpad branches or just patches attached to
tickets

there aren't much changes, so if you make your changes against git, chances
it will apply cleanly to bzr tree are pretty good :)
