I do indicate where statuses are staff editable/assignable or system controlled. System controlled means that the status cannot be set in the holdings editor. Most statuses get set to reshelving at checkin. Cataloging does not and would need to be edited manually to available (reshelving is system controlled). Temporarily unavailable does. The best way to find out how your locally created locations work is to check them in and see what happens. I am not sure what defines the status after the interval expires. For PINES the status is "available" but I don't know where the definition/coding for that is and whether it is controllable by settings. Hope this helps! Elaine J.
