Lorne,
Evergreen will force the workstation registration dance if you login to
the staff client without a workstation. AKA: the workstation dropdown
menu is missing at login. This behavior is due to the lack of a browser
cookie. If you're interacting with a different domain name or a using a
different browser or using incognito mode, your browser won't have the
necessary cookie for the Evergreen staff client to show the workstation
dropdown menu. Therefore, you'll login without a workstation and
immediately be required to register a workstation (provided that the
account that you used is allowed to register a workstation).
It sounds like you're interested in changing the URI away from the
default "/eg/staff" or "/eg2/en-US/staff" ? I'm not sure I understand
the goal.

Hello,
How do I force Evergreen to ask a workstation to register a specific URL?
Let's say I created some fancy new custom extension for Evergreen, and it lives
at https://evergreenserver/custom-app/.
I have noticed that Evergreen does not ask a workstation to register when
visiting the URL; the ideal behaviour is that it would prompt and then accept a
workstation login.
Thanks!
