I installed it on one of my test machines, P4 32 bit, KDE3, to replace 3.12.53. No problems apparent in booting or reaching a working KDE session. This machine shows complete exports and smbclient -L lists from it.
That was host gx280. Then repeated on host e-965, C2D 64 bit also with KDE3, to replace 3.12.51. Works nice there too.
