Craig, This is basically a question of epistemology. What is knowledge, and how do we know what is true knowledge.
Ultimately, since there is no direct knowledge of actual reality since it's all filtered through and interpreted within our own minds, the only true test of true knowledge is internal consistency across maximum scope.
