*Abstract*
Berg and Ulfberg [4] and Amano and Maruoka [2] have used
CNFDNF-approximators to prove exponential lower bounds for the monotone network complexity of the clique function and of Andreev’s function. We show that these approximators can be used to prove the same lower bound for
their non-monotone network complexity. This implies P != NP.

I will take a look. I know Manuel Blum (speed-up theorem), Eleanor Blum (his wife I think), and she made important work in logic too, notably on the computable functions on a ring.

But I did not know Norbert Blum. Nor this paper, I will take a look. Could take some time before I have an opinion. It is a difficult subject.

Best,

Bruno
