"Mind" is one of those words that should be deprecated: The brain "does" (or processes) experiences, knowledge, intentions, ideas, ... all that "mental" stuff. In psychology, the *psyche* /ˈsaɪki/ is the totality of [what the brain "does"], conscious and unconscious. [Wikipedia]. At least "psyche" is not literally the word "mind".
