This is no philosophical swap, but it seems to be a built -in memory counter, a database storage mechanism that is built in to the cosmos. This is pretty much straight out of the Hindu faith, but this analysis is not religious in nature. I am not a Hindu, but enjoy (on occasion) seeing when observations in physics can be instructive to some of our religious ( read, amygdala) yearnings.
