What the hell are you talking about, that's exactly precisely what it was. If Donald Trump and most Republican senators and most Republican representatives and *Three Star General Michael Flynn* had gotten their way, Trump would have remained in power indefinitely despite what the constitution says, and despite 7 million more people voting for Joe Biden than Trump, and despite Biden winning the electoral college by 306 to 232. Constitutional democracy would have come to an end in the USA. By the way, 306 to 232 are the exact same numbers by which Trump won the electoral college in 2016, and even though 4 million fewer American citizens voted for Trump than Hillary Clinton Trump called his 2016 election a "*landslide victory*".
