Democrats have won the popular vote in 7 of the last 8 presidential elections and yet 6 members of the Supreme Court were appointed by Republicans and only 3 by Democrats, that's why we're getting so many screwy rulings from them now such as banning abortion. And do we really need 2 Dakotas? California has over 24 times as many people as Dakota does, and yet Dakota has 4 senators but California only has 2.
