The FDA says for a chemical to be available over the counter it must be safe, have no risk of overdose, and not be addictive. The abortion pill is made up of two chemicals, mifepristone and misoprostol, and both have been proven to be non-addictive, they have no risk from overdose, and both chemicals are already being used safely in large parts of the world without the assistance of a physician. So why don't American citizens have that same right, why can't somebody in the USA buy mifepristone and misoprostol over the counter?
