The democrats lost the elections in the U.S. because they are completely out of touch with the people and especially with the working class. They sound like that high school teacher we all had and disliked, who in hindsight was perhaps a nice person but was so completely out of touch with us that we all hated and mocked her/him all the time, and we didn't listen to her/him even when we should have. It is a communication problem. The sooner the democrats realize this, the better.
