A feature in document viewers that would be quite useful is
the ability to split the window horizontally, with
independent scrollers in each of the two panes. There are
many times when I want to compare two separate parts of the
same document, e.g., look at citations while looking at the
part of a text that gives the citation.
One can approximate this feature by opening up the same
document in two copies of evince and scrolling them side by
side, but this is awkward and inefficient.
Can this feature be added to evince?
