Oh, I guess that explains. A few mins ago, I told gnome to disable all
antialiasing on fonts, and evince still showed them as antialiased,
indeed. So, in Mohamed's case, I suppose that Evince uses some form of
antialiasing (maybe "best shapes") instead of "subpixel-hinting"-type
antialiasing, which maybe Acroread uses.
