Hello,

I am trying to get some PDF protected with password for printing at the
minimum.

I have done so using pdftk and its 128 bits encrypting option. With a
similar command :

pdftk mydoc.pdf output mydoc.128.pdf owner_pw foopass

When I open it with Adobe Acrobat Reader (9.4.2) the security policy is
shown under properties. I can see the lock icon in the sidebar and I am
prompted a password to print the file.

But when I open it with evince no password is asked and in the properties I
see security : No.

So my question is : Is this a feature of evince to be able tooverride the
old and basic protection set up by pdftk? Or am I missing something here?

Thank you very much.
