I see. I have no AppMenu at all. I have a search button, a spanner button and a sun button. The last two buttons activate menus like the ones that there used to be on the menu bar. I have to say that I fail to see the point of this redesign. I've been using it for a while and I'd much prefer it if there was an option to put the menus back on the menu bar.
