For this to work, you must have the theme installed. There is probably a package for you distribution. It is the sort of small thing that pisses people > off and makes them go back to Windows. Totally agree. The default set-up is barely usable. The scroll bars are broken and so is the menu bar. Luckily the scroll bars can be fixed, but it's not a good user experience when the user is required to fix the interface. Also you can't expect novice users to be able to fix it.
