Hi, I'm using Linux Mageia (fork from Mandriva).
Whereas on previous versions of these Linux distributions, Evince instances were properly restored from previous session (even KDE one), that's not the case anymore since Mageia 4: there are as many Evince windows open as PDF files were open with Evince during the previous session, but these windows are empty. As soon I noticed this behavior, I made a bug report: ┌──── │ https://bugs.mageia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12699 └──── incriminating KDE, but I recently noticed that the bug arises with XFCE as well. There is a thread on the same subject (for a Debian Linux distribution ): ┌──── │ https://mail.gnome.org/archives/evince-list/2010-May/msg00002.html └──── but: - At that time (2010/04), the probable Evince version on Debian was Evince 2.22 and, on Mageia/Mandriva, the last Evince version that could be restored is 3.7.1, the trouble starting with version 3.10.3. - It is suggested to look at the recent file list but I don't know where this file is located. - Looking at the recent file list is a poor man workaround compared to session restoring. I guess there is a specific trouble with Evince as /all/ other applications, e.g. Okular, are properly restored, either with KDE or XFCE. Could the previous Evince' behavior be reverted in the future? Thanks in anticipation. -- Denis _______________________________________________ evince-list mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/evince-list
