Hi, I took a brief look at this, and the problem lies in poppler (evince's backend). This means the pdf will not render correctly in any viewer which is based on poppler. It might be related to this bug: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=84527
I would suggest to file a new bug in freedesktop, attaching this file and mentioning the possibly related bug.
