Hi folks I'm a many-year evince user and it has been very exciting for me
to see the excellent improvements on this elegant software. I'd like to
propose a promising feature that I have been wanting for years--split view.
The split view mode provided in Excel software and some others could be
very helpful when you need to frequently take a glance at the reference
section of a research paper or other documents in that fashion. One thing
that I need to mention here is that currently a same document cannot be
opened twice at the same time. So in practice I cannot just open two
windows and put one at the main paragraphs and the other at the reference
section. Most of the time I have to print it out so that I can have two of
it at the same time.
Discussion and opinions are welcomed. I wish I could help on any way that
could make evince better.
