Hi, I ran UBUNTU 14.04 LTS. I downloaded it and installed it but thought I
have some rudimentary understanding of what an operating system has to do,
particualarly a little knowledge of Windows and Mac OS X, I don't know much
about Linux/Ubuntu.
I don't even know how to find the program or system files the way I can in
the other two OSs. I'm just letting you know, not that I'm proud of it as
I could learn with some effort. So, I'm writing to ask you to help me with
the DOCUMENT VIEWER. It is shown in the side bar, the Launcher, but when I
try to open a PDF document it flasshes by but does not open. I have to use
PRINT PREVIEW to see the documents. When I look at the UBUNTU SOFTWARE
CENTER, it is liste as installed. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not
appear to help. Maybe you have a suggestions.
By the way, I tried to register but I didn''t know what my NEWSGROUP was.
Sorry, maybe you can guide me so that I can sign up. By the way, what news
will I be receiving and will it be via email?
