Dear ECCO's,

Interesting question: are we ECCOs (sounds like Geckos ;-), ECCOans, ECCans, ECCOists or what?

Beneath a few books for the online ecco-book list.
Don't know whether all of them will interest you, but I presume Francis wil=
l sort them out.

Yes, I'm willing to do some sorting, but ideally this would be done automatically by our intelligent database. To help in this, I suggest that the people who further submit suggestions would try to include some minimal indication of quality, value or relevance. Since our list is likely to grow quickly to huge proportions, we should have a quick way to order them by importance, so that we can focus on the most interesting ones.

Therefore I propose that new suggestions be accompanied by one of the following scores:

*** : this is an absolute classic in the ECCO domain that we must have
** : excellent and highly recommended
* :  worth reading
  (no stars): may be interesting for some

Also, don't hesitate to include items that others have already mentioned. If two or more people recommend the same book, then it is more likely to be interesting for the whole ECCO community than if one person recommends it. (I have some algorithms in mind to calculate from this an overall recommendation for each book taylored to specific interest profiles).

Sorry, can't spare the time to give short introductions to them.

That 's no problem as this can be added later (in our database, hopefully)
