First off, I use evolution every day and love it.
However, there are a couple things that I think should be considered:
The main thing is: The /home/blah/evolution folder should be
/home/blah/.evolution. If the evolution folder were somewhere that I
might ever want to go then it would make sense, but there is nothing in
there that anyone but the app itself has use for. It is entirely an app
config and therefore should be hidden. This may seem nit-picky but I
like to keep my home dir tidy.
I know that many features are being worked on but it seems like a beta
(or whatever evolution currently is) should have the core functionality
in place before details like autocomplete for email addresses. Right
now evolution is missing two absolutely needed features. 1. Spell check
in mail composition. 2. Command line for compose only so that evolution
can be used with other applications like galeon or opera.
