-7 doesn't mean 7 extra patches, but just that many builds. But, for what it's worth the patches in there were all stuff that had been committed to the branch + the patch that just changes the default. Anything I add, I send because I don't want to be stuck maintaining a pile of patches that isn't upstream -- it's not in my best interests :) But, I'd also recommend (to Dax) trying the 1.4.5 package which show up in rawhide at some point, thrown up as http://people.redhat.com/~katzj/evolution-1.4.5-2.i386.rpm to get it out faster. > > Strangely, although I encountered about 10 hanging bugs during the first > > 30 minutes of booting into Fedora test2 and using the shipped Evolution, > > the next two days I've used Evolution with nary a problem. > > > > No more hanging. > > > > Funny thing is that I spoke with someone else who encountered the same > > thing. I don't see how it could affect things, but it is one difference that could be being hit. So, running prelink now to see if it makes it so that I start seeing the hangs so that I can start tracking things down.
