Actually it doesn't work as well as I'd like. I can set up OpenLDAP, but I think it's both overkill and unnecessarily painful. I am definitely sure that my other "model family use cases" (couples/families who are good friends of mine) are not going to put up with what it takes to set up an LDAP server.
