Okey, well i shouldnt have to, seeing how i can compile it perfectly fine on lots of other distros. So, i got rid of Gentoo(even though i didnt want to, but i figgured i had to find out), and installed the new Debian stable. Did the same procedure when compiling evolution and its related libraries. (ie the same prefix, and similar options i used, wich werent many) basicly : export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=$PREFIX/lib/pkgconfig/; ./autogen.sh --prefix= $PREFIX; make; make install and all went smooth as peaches. I really didnt want this to happen though, i was hoping to get the same problem, so then i couldnt point it to be a gentoo specific problem. (or rather, me + gentoo, specific problem) I Have tried to as good as possible, scim through the compiling/building of evo output warnings. I couldnt really see any different warnings or so occur when compiling it now, on debian versus compiling it on gentoo. so i guess, i'll have to keep it like this, i can do stuff now atleast, but its gonna bugg me until i figgure it out, what the problem is and how to solve it. regards /Nicklas _______________________________________________ evolution-hackers maillist - [email protected] http://lists.ximian.com/mailman/listinfo/evolution-hackers
