Im not so sure editing the autogen.sh is such a good idea, i mean, if the option is used, its needed. Either, try to get ahold of a gnu-find to your solaris box. Or, grab one from here and compile yourself. If none of those works, atleast find what the -o option on gnu is on your solaris.

Try googling that errormessage, often very usefull.
