Whilst not quite using evolution full time for mail, I use it
constantly for calendering, in fact I binned my paper calendar a while
back. Imagine my horror then to discover that I suddenly have a totaly
empty calender:

[michael@michael Calendar]$ od -x calendar.ics
0000000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000 0000
*
0043117

Along with a similarly totaly empty calendar.ics~ [ perhaps this
file is a backup to save me this pain ] ?

        I'm running:

evolution-0.10.99-snap.ximian.200106181444

Any my last backup [ phew ] is June 28th,

Sadly, I can't for the life of me remember what I typed in and
clearly repeating it is going to be hard. I often frequently run oaf-slay,
so perhaps there was a write in progress on death - if so are we
recovering correctly from this ? is the write code properly atomic ? also,
I often wonder when the wombat sends state to disk - when does it ?

        Any clues ? [1]

                Michael.

[1] - of course, might be disc corruption, or grotesque and spectacular
user error but ...
