Hey,

Thanks a lot for that report :)

Hmm, does this happen everytime ? There is a cache that is used, when
you query the next times. Please file a bug if you see this delay for
the same name everytime.

This is more of an evolution wide thing. Currently, this is in the
preferences dialog, where you can select the addressbook you want to
autocomplete your contacts from. May be you can disable it for GAL if
its causing a problem currently.

There is a bug filed for this in Connector, but i am not sure when we
will be implementing this though.

Hmm, looks like evolution-exchange crashed for you when this happened. A
hang on evolution usually means the death of the backend, in your case
probably e-d-s or evolution-exchange. Please file a bug for this with
the gdb traces for the backends.

Yeah, i guess there is a bug for this already on evolution. The current
design doesnt allow this behaviour though.

There is a new mail plugin which raises D-Bus signals. But i dont think
there is any future plans for implementing a new mail popup dialog.
Ofcourse, anybody interested in implementing is always welcome :-)

Hmm, there is really no way for a folder to know, where the source of
the mail it appended to its list is. It cannot decide if it got the new
mail from the server, or from another store. Probably file a bug on this
and some new design changes could probably take care of this.

This is how the current design behaves, similar to the reason i said
above. Move to a different store always means, delete it from source
store and append it to the new store. This would need more design
changes.

Not sure, what this is ?

Please file a bug for this in bugzilla

Please file a bug for this in bugzilla.

Probably something that can be thought on in the new mail plugin.

Thanks for pointing out these things. It always helps to get various
view points. :-)
