Having just read "Getting Things Done" I've decided, after using Evolution for the last five years only as my email client, to transform it into the lynchpin of my personal productivity toolbox. However, after re-organizing all my existing folders from identified 'buckets' to more action-able names per the book, and condensing many of the filters I used to have (i.e. took separate online publication/mailing list filters and condensed them into a single filter that puts these emails into a "Weekly" folder) now everytime I click any action in any folder (i.e. 'clear' a filter, send/receive, just start the program, etc) the Evolution goes into a frenzy of activity and the entire machine bogs. The program has never done this before.
I have about 1.1G of email going back to 2000. I'm using Suse 9.3 with current yast2 patches, 512M RAM, 80GBHD with ~40GB free, /home is ext3.
