True. Enabling remote tests will check a bunch or blacklists and general
SA built-in tests that require accessing remote servers. This will
dramatically increase Spam detection rate, but it will result in longer
processing time per mail as well.

You should make sure to train the SA built-in Bayes filter. Bayes will
kick in once SA learned 200 Spams and Hams (non Junk) *each*. (Please
see a bunch of other posts by me explaining this in detail.)

Well, IMHO it is not a good idea to start messing with the default SA
settings, unless you *really* know what you are doing. In which case you
don't need a pointer where those files are located. :)
