Although I likely should be please that I made it into your Address Book and even got a hint that I solve Evolution related issues -- I am not a personal help line. To be more precise according to the header of the mail sent to me: Evolution 2.4.1 Serge, which IMAP server are you using? Courier IMAP by any chance? There is a known issue [1] with Courier IMAP and Evo 2.4.x, which is fixed since 2.4.2. The quick workaround (if you happen to use Courier): Change your account settings to "show subscribed mails only". Then use Tools / Subscribe to Folders to subscribe to your Inbox and any other folder. You might need to restart Evo in between.
