Hi again. Thanks to those that replied last time.
I have tried the supplemental YAST repositories for my SuSE 9.3 install
and still no joy in getting a running evolution. The version posted on
the supplemental archive are not compatible with each other.
evolution 2.4.1-16
evolution-data-server-1.6.0-16
There are shared libs required by evolution that are not supplied by the
data server, looks like the data server is too new for the client.
I can't believe it is this difficult to get a program installed and
running. No surprise that Micro$soft has such a stong hold. I am now at
the point of giving up and staying with WinXP for my laptop despite
wanting to run Linux. However my company make extensive use of MS
Exchange and I need to be able to work with it. It is also surprising
that there is only evolution available as a linux exchange client,
especially when it appears to be so unstable. Such a disappointment.
