Hi Kenneth, Please file a bug with the version details and if possible a stack trace.
Apart from .evolution, the account information and preferences are stored in gconf (~/.gconf/apps/evolution), passwords in $HOME/.gnome2_private/Evolution and certificates under $HOME/.camel_certs.
