That of course is correct. And the devs definitely are trying to please
(well, almost) anyone. :)

There are some peculiarities in any app the user has to get used to.
You'll find this all the time when switching from a well known appliance
to a replacement. Heck, this even holds true for simple things like
coffee machines... ;)
Regarding your undo feature: I know this is a long standing request in
bugzilla. But interestingly, I (personally) never ever wished for such a
thing. Since I have "deleted" mail visible [1], undoing this is like one
click or keyboard shortcut away for me. (Also, this does not break
threading or make sub-threads dance around, when starting deletion with
the parent...)
