Here is an update on my problem: I think it may be related with the trash folder. Because I noticed that the same 20 or so letters which I keep deleting from my draft folder, end up back in my draft folder the next time I open Evo.
And also, despite the fact that the trash is set to empty itself whenever Evo gets closed, now when I open Evo the trash is still full. I see that it has 213 letters in it dating back to April 16, and I have closed Evo innumerable times since then. So the trash is unable to empty itself on closing. I tried clicking on "empty trash" now while Evo is open, and that also it was unable to do. It gave rise to the same clicking sounds that happen whenever I try to close the application, and ultimately yielded the following error message: -------------- "Error while Expunging folder. Error storing `~/.evolution/mail/local/Inbox (mbox)': Summary and folder mismatch, even after a sync" -------------- So does it sound like the trash folder has gone bad? What do I have to do to fix the situation?
