Sometimes that happens if you have an instance of firefox open when the update happens. Have you logged out or rebooted since the update happened? (You don't need to do such a microsoft thing as reboot or logout - you just need to make sure that you close down all instances of firefox - do 'ps -ef | grep fire' to make sure none are running.)
