That's your call of course. Personally I have nearly all my mail on IMAP servers so I can get to it from anywhere and don't have to worry about synching it. I'm just saying the same can apply to contacts etc., only more so. As others have already said, storing stuff locally means you get to handle the synching yourself. Although e-d-s could *in theory* act as a server for contact info, I don't know how many hoops you'd have to jump through to get this working reliably over the Internet.
