Thanks for the responses, but I am not enough of an expert to use some of them.
I am sure the virus comes with email.
I found 2 viruses in cache and deleted them.  ClamTK called them phishing.
I have gotten more viruses.  I can not find them to delete.  I am now using email from the internet.
Can someone tell me how to use ClamTK on incoming mail in a way I can understand?
I have tried to go to the command line but do not understand it.
I deleted some cache files in the evolution folder.  Now the send/receive button is gray and does nothing.
How can I get it back to working?
ClamTK only works on files in one folder, not sub-folders, so it is hard to use on many folders.

Anyone has faced this issue before? Currently it has become tedious for
me to manage the mails as I have to use gmail to move mails in folders.

Thanks,
Ruchir

Since yesterday, evolution has become unusable upto some extent. I filed
a bug as below:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=587739

I'm not able to perform any operation except read and send mails. I
can't move mails to other folders. I see lots of errors/warnings on
status bar. Can someone please help me recover from this situation?

Thanks,
Ruchir

Hello,

I'm must use Evolution and I'm now missing what I have had with my MUA
'mutt': an efficient way to edit the text of the mail body. I'm used to
do this with 'vim' using 'mutt' and I'm now forced to use a mouse to do
copy&paste operations (instead of just '10yy' ... 'p'), or mark with the
mouse some hundreds of lines of a mail to do only a few word reply to the
only line of this mail which deserves an answer :-(

Is there some way to have an external editor connected to Evolution,
like it is possible to connect a text editor to Firefox text input field
as a plug-in?

Thanks in advance for any hint.

People who hate Microsoft Windows use Linux but people who love UNIX use FreeBSD.

If you want to reply to some part only, just select it and press Reply
button, only the selected part will be shown in the new mail window.

Yes, there is an experimental external-editor plugin for evolution, with
it enabled (Edit->Plugins) you can do File->Compose in External Editor
within composer, though it's probably not available in your version, or
at least needs some "recent" fixes done there, for better stability. I
think those are parts of 2.26.3+, but I'm not sure now.
Bye,
Milan
