Hi ...

Ok, I am a happy camper again. Akhil's information resolved the migration issue. Thanks to all. I am now running EVO 2.28. My next issue will be how to merge my TB email back into EVO. Time now to do some research on this.

Thanks All,

... TomH

Hi Akhil,

You are on target. I did move to 64 bit and it easily could have been then. Let me follow your information and get back to you.

TIA ... TomH

Hi All,

I started using EVO in 8.04, worked fine. Continued with 8.10 still
ok. Somethings just needed to be learned. Upgraded to 9.04 ... a file format migration was implemented ... EVO died during migration ... about 2k worth of email locked up with a never ending migration. Moved to TB ... would like to get my email back ... even continue with EVO

Are you moving summary from i586 to x86_64 architecture ? If yes, there is a known bug
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=559153

As a work around to solve the problem, close evolution, remove the
corresponding files under ~/.evolution with the file ending
".ev-summary" and ".ibex.index" and start evolution, it will regenerate
the summary and then it should work fine. - Akhil
9.10 no help ... is there a thread on what to do to get this
migration to finish?
TIA ... TomH
