I am not extra-ordinary comfortable using it. If you have used pine (please don't ask what pine is ;-) ), you can use mutt. The key commands are simple to learn and use. I like Evolution like the next guy, however i find mutt has rock solid support for the mbox mail format. It can handle inbox files that Evolution chokes on. Using mutt to clean up Evolution mbox inbox files has saved my bacon on several occasions. Of course for everyday mail reading and writing, Evolution rules. When it rains in paradise sometimes you need a mutt to chase the clouds away. Bad analogy I know.
