I had it working [or at least I'm pretty certain I did], but a *long*
time ago.  There are *serious* problems with trying to use a directory
server as a groupware stand-in; we gave up.  The issues aren't with
Evolution (or at least weren't then) but just with how LDAP is used [or
not] by applications.
